No athlete or athletic team has achieved their goal of victory by working alone.  Every successful effort requires a game plan and teamwork.  The same applies to the lives of young people.  If they are to win in life, we must all work together for them and with them.  Our investment and involvement will make the difference in their success!


All sponsors will receive maximum exposure prior to, during and after Gova Sports events for a full season.  You will reach your audience by choosing a Gova Sports event or program that suits your needs and reaches your desired audience. It is our goal to provide you with the utmost publicity, marketing opportunity and exposure as a partner. Please note that all sponsorship level amounts are meant as a guideline. We will happily consider a custom sponsorship plan for you if you desire. You will be instrumental in executing our game plan for impacting the youth of our community by becoming a teammate with Gova Sports.


Sponsors underwrite the cost of operations to support overall organizational goals, athletic training objectives, promotional objectives, scholarships, game officials, and field rentals. 

In most cases, your sponsorship can be a tax deduction.

 

IRS Publication 535, (advertising expenses):

  • “You generally can deduct reasonable advertising expenses that are directly related to your business activities.”

  • "You can usually deduct as a business expense the cost of institutional or goodwill advertising to keep your name before the public if it relates to business you reasonably expect to gain in the future.”

  • Sponsorship can most certainly be a tax write-off for businesses as long as there is a clear connection between the sponsorship and your business. For example, if you are sponsoring a flag football team and naming the team after your business or there is a listing of the business name in the program, or you arrange a booth at the game to advertise your services/product, then there is a clear connection between the sponsorship and the business. It is visible that the sponsorship is a promotional effort for the business. Thus, it would be written-off as an advertising expense.

  • Please check with your accountant or tax attorney for specific details about how sponsorship may be beneficial to you and your tax situation.

 

Cone Corporate Citizenship Study found that 86% of Americans stated that they are likely to switch from one brand to another of comparable price and quality if that brand is associated with a youth sports cause. 79% said they are more likely to buy a product that supports a youth sports organization.

 

Here are 6 reasons why businesses should sponsor a youth sports organization:

  • Increase awareness of the company's products and services. Each sponsorship package has benefits for the sponsor built in: field signage, website advertising, company name on uniforms, etc. Through a sponsorship, a company's brand will be in front of the youth sports market of parents, coaches, program organizers, players and fans.
